3 years ago, we applied Frontline Plus to our very healthy 14 month old beagle. He was
lethargic for about 2 days afterwards, but I thought he was sad because my husband was
away. The next month, we applied it again. About 36 hours later, he started vomiting
uncontrollably. I had to go to work, but my daughter was home with him and said he slept all
day. When I got home, he tried to come greet me, but couldn't use his back legs. I had to carry
him outside & back in again because he couldn't get up & down steps. In the house, he just
dragged his back. It had happened the month before. I googled "frontline side effects" and
found a discussion thread on Amazon where there were well over 50 pages of comments of
people saying their pets had similar symptoms, if not worse (seizures, etc.) They had
recommended bathing in blue Dawn dishsoap. Fortunately I had some on hand and bathed
him, scrubbing his neck & back with it. By the next morning he could use his legs again.
Withing 48 hours, he was back to his energetic self. The vet told me it couldn't have been the
Frontline because that wasn't a known side effect. I told her about the discussion string on
Amazon, and she said I should "be careful to take the advice of anecdotal stories read on the
internet over a vet's advice." Is it a coincidence that he had never had this problem before,
and hasn't had it since? I don't think so. And I truly believe that if we hadn't made the
connection, and had given him Frontline again the next month, he would have experienced
the seizures others had written about and possibly even worse.

side effects of Fronltline Products. This is how I knew our dog, Rudy, got the
seizures from Frontline Plus.

I have 3 chihuahuas, ages 4, 1.5 years and 5 months old. It was our 1.5 year old female that
had the reaction. The other dogs did not react negatively at all but watching Marlo go
through not being able to walk was enough for me. I'll never use this again. I thank God I
looked her reaction up on the net and found all the comments. We were one of the lucky
ones thank God but the key is getting that stuff OFF your dog. Blue liquid Dawn works!

THERE YOU WILL SEE ALL THE SIDE EFFECT OF FRONTLNIE
PRODUCTS FOR THE PAST YEAR.

Seeing all these pets that suffered and the EPA not doing a thing about
it is very horrifying.  

IMPORTANT REPORTING INFORMATION:

1). If your PET has experienced ANY negative side effects after
the application of  Frontline Products, please call MERIAL.

Take notes and get the names of all the individuals you spoke
with. Be thorough and well prepared. They will want the
chronological order in which the side effects occurred, how long
they lasted, if and when they got worse or better. MERIAL needs
to know, no matter how insignificant you think it to be.

Be sure to include:
•Your name and email address, and contact information.
•Information on the product involved, including the brand,
product name, model number, UPC code, product age and
where you purchased it.
•Detail your problem with the product.  If your pet was sickened
or died, let us know if you have (and would be willing to share
with CPS) substantiating veterinary records associated to the
problem caused by the product.

 CALL THE NATIONAL PESTICIDE INFORMATION CENTER
AT 800-858-7373  and report your pet's incident to them. You can
also fill out a form online at

Pesticide Incidents. They in turn have to report the incident to
the EPA.

4. Who applied the product(s)-owner or veterinarian,
5. Length of time between application and reaction,
6. Description of adverse reaction,
7. Date(s) on which adverse reaction occurred,
8. Contact information and telephone number, and
9. City and State where the incident occurred.

IT IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT YOU FILL OUT
A REPORT AND/OR CALL ALL THESE AGENCIES
WE NEED TO MAKE MERIAL RESPONSIBLE FOR
PRODUCTS THAT THEY SELL.
